The Venturi effect, when used, explains the dramatic improvement in fluid dynamics including atomization and vaporization of fluids, (i.e. gasoline) when flowing air through a constriction creates a low pressure gradient enhancing the change of state of the gasoline from liquid to vapor improving combustion.
